Valast® 400 and Valast® 450 have been developed for applications in construction, mining, agriculture and many other industries. Valast® is extremely wear-resistant with a consistent quality. With a typical hardness of 400 and 450 HBW, the wear resistance is 2.0 to 2.5 times higher than that of an S355 structural steel *.
For users there are advantages such as a longer lifespan and lower maintenance costs. But the production of lighter, more fuel-efficient vehicles with a higher payload is also possible, with reduced use of steel.
The consistent flatness of Valast® enables efficient, reproducible workshop processing steps with improved nesting options for laser cutting, minimal waste and a lower scrap rate. The surface quality also offers opportunities to shorten lead times for subsequent steps in the production process.

Valast® 400 and Valast® 450 are supplied with an EN 10204: 3.1 certificate as standard. Other certificates are available upon request.
