Valast 400 wear resistant steel

The further development of the Valast® wear-resistant steel product family is running at full speed.

Specialty Steel already had a wide range of Valast® 450 available from stock and is now adding Valast® 400 in thicknesses 3 to 10 mm.

Valast® stands for wear-resistant steel sheet from hot-rolled wide strip. With a typical hardness of 400 resp. 450 HBW, the wear resistance is 2.0 to 2.5 times higher than that of a type S355 structural steel. The sheets have a very good and regular surface, as you are used to from Tata Steel IJmuiden.
