I have always had a passion for materials and metals in particular. Metals have been the red thread during my studies in Materials Science at the Technical University Delft and my further career. After my studies I started in Research & Development at Volvo Aero in Sweden. The focus was on increasing the efficiency and durability of aircraft engines, with the further development of ceramic coatings on super alloys.

After that, I gained production experience at Aluminum Pechiney, both in France and in the Netherlands. Here I became acquainted with high-purity aluminum for the electronics industry and alloys for the automotive and aircraft industry.

At Corus and Tata Steel Europe, I gained commercial experience in the markets for hot and cold rolled, galvanized and special strip steel. Finding out-of-the-ordinary, innovative solutions and achieving results to contribute to the success of my customers have always been my motivation.

On April 1, 2019, I took over Vogel Stahl, a Service Center for hot rolled and pickled sheet steel in various types of steel such as S235JR, S355J2 + N and thermo-mechanically rolled high-strength steels.

Specialty Steel Sheet and Plate (SS-SP) will see the light in 2021. It is our ambition to make Specialty Steel Products available to you, with the corresponding knowledge and service that you are used to from Vogel Stahl.
